What animals are kept?
Animal Adoption Scheme: The above animals are available for adoption, entitling the adopter to newsletters and special guided feeding tours when they can learn more about their favourite animals. An ideal gift! Look at our Animal Adoption page to find out more. Educational activities: The Centre has a well-equipped classroom, and talks on a wide range of biological and environmental subjects can be offered to schools and other organized groups. During most school holidays, special events are organised, including the popular 'Meet the Animals' talks where you can get up close to a range of smaller creatures. Wildlife and conservation: Look at our conservation page to find out how Tilgate Park and Nature Centre are helping to conserve wildlife both locally and globally, and how you can help. Walled GardenThis was originally the kitchen garden for the Tilgate Estate. The emphasis of the Walled Garden is now education and enjoyment, with interest for all ages.
Unusual TreesOrnamental trees, some dating back to the 19th century, complement the natural woodland within the Park. You can find specimen trees from all over the world, including the Giant Redwood.
